Updated over a year ago

Below you can find a few suggestions on ways to familiarize yourself with our platform, a few rules of engagement, and other tips to help make your time on Glimmer more successful. We hope some of these help in understanding our process!

What you should do:

  • Familiarize yourself with Glimmer’s Terms of Service, Platform Fees and Billing Terms before replying to any creator proposals

  • Keep key communication pertaining to the project details and deliverables on the platform to create a discernible ‘paper trail’

  • Always keep contracts and payments on the platform and notify our Support Team of any violations: Support@glimmer.io

What you should never do:

  • Members of the Glimmer community may not submit proposals or solicit parties discovered through Glimmer to contract or pay outside of our platform. Violators will be removed from the platform.

Rules of engagement:

  • Some projects do require in-person communication such as a meeting or a phone call. Remember, if during the phone call you discussed some major changes in the project description, requirements, or deliverables, document those via Glimmer’s messaging feature and reflect those changes in the Posting/Project description.

Why go through Glimmer?

We know working with creators requires trust and confidence, which is why we try to bring you the best available creators for whatever project you need. By vetting our creators we hope to find you reliable, trustworthy individuals that will get the job done.

We pride ourselves on offering dedicated customer service to all Glimmer clients. For any questions regarding production, urgent issues, or recommendations, we are here to help to make your experience the best it can possibly be.

What happens if I decide to go around Glimmer’s contract and payments?

Disintermediation is serious. You will be violating our Terms of Service, which will potentially result in permanent termination from the platform.

What should you do if you suspect a creator is trying to take their business off the platform?

There are several ways to go about it. First of all, you should try to resolve it one on one with your creator. If that proves unsuccessful and you suspect that the freelancer is attempting to abuse Glimmer’s Terms of Service, reach out to our support team at support@glimmer.io. We will do our best to tactfully resolve this with your creator and bring them back to the right path.
